Samsung has finalized the rollout schedule for One UI 9, the software layer built on Android 17. The Japanese branch of the company published the specific dates for the update, which will be distributed across October and November 2026. While the timeline is technically region-specific, the list of eligible hardware is expected to serve as the standard for global releases.

The software first arrived in September for the Galaxy S26 series. It has since moved to select previous-generation devices. The new list includes the Galaxy S26, S26+, and S26 Ultra. It also covers the Galaxy S25, S25 Ultra, S24, S24 Ultra, S24 FE, S23, and S23 Ultra. Foldable devices on the list include the Galaxy Z Fold 7, Z Flip 7, Z Fold 6, Z Flip 6, Z Fold 5, and Z Flip 5.

Mid-range smartphones are also included in the distribution plan. The Galaxy A57, A55, A54, A36, and A25 are scheduled for the update. The tablet category features the Galaxy Tab S11 and S11 Ultra, the Tab S10, S10+, S10 Ultra, S10 FE, S10 FE+, and S10 Lite.

Older tablet models are also receiving the new software. The list includes the Galaxy Tab S9, S9+, S9 Ultra, S9 FE, and S9 FE+. Additionally, the Galaxy Tab S6 Lite (2024), Tab A11, Tab A11+/5G, and Tab Active 5 Pro are on the schedule. This brings the total count of confirmed devices to 40.

The current list is not exhaustive. It omits several 'Plus' versions of recent Galaxy S flagships. Many Galaxy A models and devices sold in other regions are also absent from the initial publication. The company has indicated that the rollout will continue beyond the Japanese window.

Global distribution is expected to extend into December and January. This extension is particularly relevant for entry-level devices that will receive the update later in the cycle. Samsung has not yet provided specific dates for these additional models in other markets.
