Bambu Lab will sell its H3C 3D printer on November 3. The company confirmed the date after releasing an 11-second teaser video. The clip shows a front-mounted rack holding nine tool heads. This hardware distinguishes the H3C from the company's previous models.

Tool-changing systems are replacing traditional filament management in many workshops. These machines switch colors with less waste and faster than the existing AMS system. The H3C belongs to the flagship H-line, which also includes the H2S, H2D, and H2C. It is the direct successor to the H2C, a seven-tool machine that uses a motorized Vortex rack.

A primary design change is the placement of the idle tools. In the teaser, the rack drops down above the build plate. This keeps the area above the print clear. Tom's Hardware noted that this solves a visibility issue found in the Bondtech INDX system. That system requires users to look through a rack of tools to see the print bed.

Online speculation about the H3C has been active since leaked images appeared. Some early renders showed ten spools, but the official video clarifies that there are nine. The tools arch over the top of the machine. Bambu Lab has not yet disclosed the mechanism that holds the spools, though the company describes the internal layout as a core part of its design philosophy.

The H2 line has been marketed as a home manufacturing hub. Dr. Tao of Bambu Lab previously discussed the goal of creating multitasking machines that go beyond standard 3D printing. This strategy aligns with the company's A2L, which offers optional blade cutting and embossing tools. Not all users welcomed the laser addition on the H2D, but the company continues to push for multi-function hardware.

Most specifications for the H3C remain unannounced. The build volume and price are not yet public. The H2C, the closest relative, has a build volume of 330 x 320 x 325mm. Full technical details are scheduled to be released alongside the product on November 3.
