Real Madrid intends to make a bid for Liverpool midfielder Alexis Mac Allister in an upcoming transfer window. The club is currently monitoring the 27-year-old’s situation, according to reports from Sky Germany. The Argentine international has drawn specific attention from Real Madrid manager Jose Mourinho, who values the player’s physical presence and strength in aerial duels.
Mac Allister remains under contract at Anfield through 2028. No concrete plans have been announced to extend his current deal. Liverpool is expected to resist any immediate approaches for the key player, given his importance to the squad. The timing of a potential move remains open, as Madrid is watching the situation closely rather than launching an immediate offer.
As interest in Mac Allister grows, Liverpool is preparing contingency plans for the midfield. The club holds Borussia Dortmund midfielder Felix Nmecha in high regard. The 26-year-old is not a priority target at this moment, but his status could change as Liverpool seeks reinforcements in that position. Nmecha is under contract at Dortmund until June 2030, having joined the club from Wolfsburg in 2023.
Liverpool’s shortlist for central midfield also includes Monaco’s Lamine Camara and Bournemouth’s Alex Scott. Both players have been linked with other major clubs, including Chelsea and Manchester United, in recent months. This activity indicates that Liverpool is actively scouting the market to replace potential departures or bolster depth.
Other clubs are also active in the transfer market. Arsenal has expressed interest in Monza striker Gustavo Varela, a 21-year-old Portuguese forward who has scored seven goals in eight Serie A matches this season. Napoli could make a move in January, while Benfica retains the right to match future offers and is entitled to 20% of the profit from his next transfer.
Manchester United is interested in Newcastle United left back Lewis Hall. The 22-year-old recently extended his contract until 2031, but United could revive their pursuit next summer. Newcastle is set to reject any January departure, although Hall has not ruled out a future move to Old Trafford. A fee of upwards of £70 million is expected for the player.
Bayern Munich is monitoring Borussia Mönchengladbach’s Wael Mohya, a 17-year-old midfielder. Several clubs, including Borussia Dortmund, RB Leipzig, and Bayer Leverkusen, are also interested. A winter transfer is considered unlikely, as Gladbach wants to extend his contract beyond 2028. His stay at the club is only deemed conceivable if they avoid relegation next summer.
