Marcus Theatres has launched a series of promotions and special film screenings to coincide with the Milwaukee Brewers’ appearance in the World Series. The company, which operates multiple locations across the Milwaukee area, is offering discounted food and drink items during game days while also bringing two documentaries about the city’s baseball history back to theaters.
The promotional pricing applies to domestic draft beer, which is available for $5. Customers can also purchase Game Time Lemonades for $9 and medium pizzas for $10. Appetizers are offered at half price at participating venues. These deals are available at specific Marcus locations throughout the region.
Jeff Tomachek, president of Marcus Theatres, stated that the company has awaited this moment for four decades. "We've been waiting 44 years for a moment like this, and we couldn't be more excited to celebrate alongside our Milwaukee community," Tomachek said. He described the theaters as gathering places for fans to watch games and revisit the team's past.
The chain is screening two films related to the 1982 Milwaukee Brewers. The titles are "UECK" and "Just a Bit Outside: The Story of the 1982 Milwaukee Brewers." These screenings are scheduled at ten locations, including Marcus Bay Park Cinema in Ashwaubenon and Marcus Renaissance Cinema in Sturtevant. Other venues include sites in Green Bay, Appleton, Waukesha, Menomonee Falls, Delafield, New Berlin, Sheboygan, and Oak Creek.
For fans watching live games, Marcus Theatres will display broadcasts on TVs and digital projectors in the bars and lounges of several sites. These include Movie Tavern Brookfield, Marcus Majestic Cinema of Brookfield, and Marcus BistroPlex. The Wall at Gurnee Cinema is also participating as a sports bar experience. Viewers can find specific dates and showtimes on the company’s website and mobile app.
The chain is also running a loyalty program promotion for its Magical Movie Rewards members. Individuals who see any movie through October 31 will receive a voucher for a free Junior popcorn. This voucher can be redeemed between November 4 and November 24. Non-members can sign up for the program for free before their visit to qualify for the offer.
The company provided these details in a press release. The promotions are designed to allow fans to engage with the World Series in a communal setting. Theaters will serve as alternative venues for viewing games and watching historical content about the 1982 team.
