Apple TV unveiled its release calendar for November on Thursday, anchoring the month with a high-stakes heist thriller and a historical drama centered on a disability rights protest. The schedule includes six major titles, spanning comedy, documentary, and action genres, for subscribers paying the standard monthly fee.
The month begins on November 4 with the return of 'Stick,' a sports comedy created by Jason Keller. Owen Wilson returns to his role as Pryce Cahill, a former professional golfer now managing a troubled 17-year-old prodigy played by Peter Dager. The series follows Cahill as he mentors Santi while navigating his own life after a career cut short two decades prior.
On November 6, the docuseries 'Awkwafina: The Unlikely Cook' premieres. The series follows Nora Lum, known professionally as Awkwafina, as she attempts to revive her family's Chinese restaurant. Despite coming from a lineage of restaurateurs, Lum documents her struggle to learn the fundamentals of cooking during a culinary road trip.
November 13 serves as the primary launch date for the month, featuring three distinct titles. The heist drama '12 12 12' follows Anthony Mackie as a disgraced FBI agent and Jamie Dornan as a career criminal. Their conflict unfolds across three timelines: the 12 months of planning, the 12 hours of a bank vault raid in Zurich, and the 12 days that follow.
Also premiering on the 13th is 'Being Heumann,' a film directed by Siân Heder, the Academy Award winner for 'CODA.' Set in 1977, the drama depicts the protest by Judy Heumann, played by Ruth Madeley, and a coalition of activists. Their occupation of a federal building becomes the longest in American history, pitting them against a bureaucrat portrayed by Mark Ruffalo.
The schedule also includes the family special 'Snoopy Presents: 12 Days of Snoopy' on November 13 and the action drama 'Way of the Warrior Kid' on November 25. The latter stars Chris Pratt as a Navy SEAL uncle who mentors a bullied middle schooler played by Jude Hill. The film is based on the novel by Jocko Willink and directed by McG.
Existing series will continue their runs throughout the month. 'Brothers' and 'Small Prophets' release new episodes through November 4, while the documentary 'Knife Edge: Chasing Michelin Stars' concludes on November 6. 'Where’s Wanda?' airs until December 9, and the thriller 'Nocturne' runs through December 25. Apple TV remains available for $14.99 per month, with discounted rates offered through the Apple One bundle.
